Tree-based Deployment Algorithm of Mobile Sensors in Ubiquitous Sensor Network

초록

A sensor network, aggregation of stand alone sensor nodes, is one of the most important technology infrastructures to build a ubiquitous environment. To collect diverse data from a large area, the sensing coverage as well as power consumption of each node is an important issue in sensor networks. To enhance the coverage in sensor network that is mostly based on the ad-hoc network, the deployment algorithm of sensor nodes plays an important role in a ubiquitous sensory environment. This paper focuses on a deployment algorithm for a mobile sensor network to scatter nodes widely and uniformly. The proposed algorithm uses tree topology to reduce the computation and spreading time compare to other previous deployment algorithms. This paper includes the detailed algorithm and its estimated performance simulated by NS-2 simulator.
