Effect of aerodynamic loads on mooring lines of OC4 floating

초록

This paper is focused on the effect of aerodynamic loads on the motion response of floating offshore wind turbine.The matlab code is developed based on the blade element momentum (BEM) theory, and This matlab code is considered by the aerodynamic loads acting on NREL 5MW wind turbine blade. Semi-submersible platform, which proposed from Offshore Code Comparison Collaborative Continuation(OC4) DeepCWind consortium, is selected with catenary mooring of studless chain links. We perform time domain hydrodynamic analyses with application of the one-way coupled aerodynamic loads. In comparison with peak tensions in mooring lines, distribution of more elevated peak values aerodynamic loads is appeared when aerodynamic loads are considered, rather than the case where only steady drag loads are considered.
