초록

Pleomorphic hyalinizing angiectatic tumor of soft part(PHAT) is a rare non-metastasizing, low-grade tumor of uncertain lineage. PHAT is characteristically a tumor arising in adults without gender predilection. It presents as a slowly enlarging mass for several years. The single most common site is the subcutaneous tissue of the lower extremities, but it may also occur in the subcutis of the chest wall, buttock and arm. Clinically PHAT is diagnosed as hematoma, Kaposi sarcoma or a variety of benign lesions. Microscopically, PHAT is characterized by clusters of ectatic, fibrin-lined, thin-walled vessels, which are surrounded by a mitotically inert, spindled, pleomorphic neoplastic stroma containing a variable inflammatory component. We present herein a case of PHAT involving the anterior chest wall in a 49-year-old man.
