한국인에게 적용된 걷기운동 프로그램의 효과에 대한 메타분석

초록
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the overall effectiveness by conducting a meta-analysis of the to the results of studies on walking exercise programs conducted among Koreans. Method: For this purpose, a meta-analysis was conducted on a total of 281 effect sizes derived from 30 studies that were finally selected through a literature review. Results: The results indicated that walking exercise had a medium-sized effect across all age groups. Second, in relation to health status, individuals with high blood pressure and back pain showed a high effect size, whereas those with arthritis and obesity exhibited a medium effect size. Third, concerning the exercise location, indoor walking had a high effect size compared to a medium effect size for outdoor walking. Fourth, the analysis showed that walking five times a week and participating in 50-minutes sessions maximized the effects. Conclusion: Walking exercise is highly effective and can be recommended as a key physical activity for various Korean populations to prevent diseases and enhance health.
