초록

The importance of proactive supply-chain management for defense components is increasing globally owing to various factors, including the U.S.-China conflict and the Russia-Ukraine War. Furthermore, as K-defense exports increase, securing stable quality capabilities of domestic military-product manufacturers is essential. The objective of this study is to develop a diagnostic model that can objectively evaluate the quality levels of defense companies. Using this model, the quality levels of approximately 79 domestic manufacturers were assessed, and systematic measures for enhancing quality capabilities were proposed. The developed quality-level assessment diagnostic model integrates various evaluation elements, including criteria related to domestic and international quality-award evaluations. These criteria encompass diverse aspects such as strategic direction, organization and culture, processes, and IT infrastructure. Furthermore, this diagnostic model aligns with the principles of defense quality management systems, as it considers the unique characteristics of the defense industry. Additionally, it incorporates the status of data operation, acquisition, and analysis, along with smart factory levels. This diagnostic model is expected to enable manufacturers to assess their position in terms of quality capabilities in the era of digital transformation.
