초록
Liposarcoma is the second most common soft tissue sarcoma in adulthood comprising approximately 20% of cases. Among them, spindle cell liposarcoma is an uncommon variant of atypical lipomatous tumor/well-differentiated liposarcoma. It occurs in middle-aged adults with a male predominance. Tumor locations include the limbs, buttocks, trunk, head and neck, posterior mediastinum, larynx and pharynx. It is a low-grade sarcoma capable of recurrence, dedifferentiation, and metastasis. Treatment should consist primarily of complete local excision that achieves tumor-free margins. We experienced a case of spindle cell liposarcoma in left posterior neck of a 70-year-old man.
