초록
Small sized (ca 2 um) silica monolith particles with better particle and pore size distribution were prepared by an improved and simplified procedure. The silica monolith particles were reacted with 4-chloromethylphenylisocynate followed by diethyldithiocarbamate to yield initiator attached silica particles. Radical addition fragmentation transfer (RAFT) polymerization of styrene upon them was carried out to give polystyrene attached stationary phase whose separation efficiency was well above 30,000 when packed in a column of 30 cm length.
