Influence of Anchoring Strength on the Fringe-Field Switching

Analysis of electro-optical characteristics in fringe-field switching layers iw presented. We have confirmed the influence as surface anchoring strecgth on the optical switching behavior. As numerical method, a three dimensional fonite differential method is employed and the dynamical light transmission curve has been determined for different strengths of the surface anchoring by TechWiz LCD.
