Synthesis, Structure and Bioactivity of PDMS-Modified CaO-SiO₂-P2O5 Hybrids through Sol-Gel Process

초록

Bioactivity PDMS-modified CaO-SiO2-P2O5 hybrids were synthesized by sol-gel method from tetraethoxy silane(TEOS), polydimethyl siloxane(PDMS), calcium nitrate tetra-hydrate [Ca(NO₃)₂4H2O] and triethyl phosphate (TEP) as starting materials. The bioactivity of the synthesized samples with different CaO/SiO2 mole ratio were investigated using a simulated body fluid (SBF). The in vitro bioactivity of the samples were evaluated by studying the changes in element concentrations of SBF with time. The changes in morphology, composition and crystalline phases formed on the surface layer of the specimens were investigated with various techniques such as ICP, XRD, FT-IR and SEM.
