테트라부틸암모늄플루오라이드를 이용한 방향족 알데히드의 산화반응(2)

초록

Tetrabutylammonium fluoride (TBAF) was mainly used as a deprotecting agent of a sillyl group, a fluoride source, and a base. We found that the reaction of p-nitrobenzaldehyde with TBAF gave quantitatively p-nitrobenzoic acid. Under similar reaction conditions, other aromatic aldehydes afforded acids along with alcohols. On the other hand, alcohols were not given in the presence of ionic liquids. Direct formation of esters and amides were studied in those reactions.
