Vesosome:Multicomponent-Loaded Drug Carrier for Controlled and Sustained Compound Release

Liposomes are commonly used in drug delivery systems, but challenges remain in loading multiple components and controlling their release. In this study, a vesosomal carrier composed of liposomes inside another liposome is presented for sustained and controlled release of multiple contents. The release is triggered by reactive oxygen species, allowing for immediate content release from ROS-vulnerable liposomes and sustained release from ROS-nonvulnerable ones. This study demonstrates a promising platform for precisely controlling the release of multiple components for therapeutic and diagnostic usage.
