초록
This study analyzes the damages on the plant-purification fords caused by the flood in August, 2002, based on the results of hydraulic monitoring. The hydraulic monitoring includes the hydraulic characteristics such as velocity, water level, etc., the hydraulic response to the river improvement works and the stability of the applied method against the floods. The flow patterns and the shear-stress distribution are also investigated using a two-dimensional numerical model (RMA-2). The results reveal that the main cause of the damage is the unexpected big flood, and the inadequate site selection, the direction of the intake channel and the shape of the purification ford also contributed in increasing the damage.
