Activation of Finite Element Nodal Points through the Moving Least Squares Method
초록
In this work, an efficient technique is proposed to arbitrarily activate finite element nodal points through an activation concept and moving least squares method. By using the proposed node activation strategy, one can activate only the nodes of interest among the set of finite element nodal points. Consequently only the nodal degrees of freedoms of interest are selected as unknown variables, and the other degree of freedoms can be deactivated from the set of unknown variables. If we are interested in the solution some of region in the finite element system, we can activate the nodes in that region and deactivate the other nodal degree of freedoms. If another region is of interest, we can change the set of activated nodal points and reanalyze the finite element system. Numerical tests show the robustness and performance of the proposed method in arbitrary activation of finite element nodal points.
