Synthesis of LiDAR-Detectable Black Double-Shell Hollow Nanoparticles via PVP-Assisted Assembly
초록
In this study, black double-shell hollow nanoparticles with white internal shells (BDS/HNPs) are fabricated for autonomous vehicle paints that appear black yet are detectable by LiDAR sensor. In detail, BDS/HNPs are synthesized by a series of TTIP sol-gel, NaBH4 reduction, NH4OH etching method. To form double-shell structure, polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) is adsorbed onto the titania surface to enhance the interfacial affinity between titania shell and silica layer. For the practical LiDAR application, BDS/HNPs are incorporated into hydrophilic varnish and applied to various objects. As a result, BDS/HNPs exhibits excellent NIR reflectance of ca. 40.2 R%. Furthermore, BDS/HNPs-painted objects show superior recognition by three types of LiDAR sensors. Hence, this study presents a promising approach for developing future black paint for autonomous vehicles. 본 연구는 2025년 정부(방위사업청)의 재원으로 국방과학 연구소의 지원을 받아 수행된 미래도전국방기술 연구개발사업임(No.915066201).
