In this paper, we studied the effects of the power control imperfection on the uplink(mobile to base) capacity of direct sequence code division multiple access (DS/CDMA) system over frequency selective Rician fading channel. The DS/CDMA system under consideration uses BPSK modulation and convolutional coding/Viterbi decoding with decision for forward error correcting. The capacity of the CDMA system is evaluated in a multicell environment fading into account pathloss exponents, the number of interfering cell tiers. Interference due to the mobiles in adjacent cells are presented from the analytical model. Finally, the relative capacity of microcellular DS/CDMA system are shown according to the power control error deviation.
