Application of Various Two-Dimensional Materials in Gel-Like Electrorheological Fluids

초록

Plate-shaped materials (PSMs) are utilized to induce a percolation gel-like effect for improving the electrorheological (ER) properties. Various PSMs, including natural mica-based materials (NMM), synthetic mica-based materials (SMM), and glass materials (GM) are pulverized and mixed in silicone oil for ER fluids. Under zero-field conditions, the ER fluid properties increase linearly with concentration until reaching a gel-like threshold. The viscoelastic property and shear stress confirm the formation of a cluster network. In practical ER applications, 30.0 wt% SMM-based fluids exhibit a high yield stress of 508.6 Pa under 3.0?kV?mm?1 due to network structure and ion-induced polarization. This study presents next-generation material of gel-like ER fluids with enhanced performance and structural stability. -본 연구성과물은 2025년도 정부(교육부)의 재원으로 한국연구재단의 지원을 받아 수행된 기초연구사업임 (RS-2024-00464661).
