The desirable characteristics of microwave materials include low dielectric loss (high quality factor, Q*f0value), high dielectric constant (εr) and small temperature coefficient (~0ppm/?) at high frequency. In addition, dielectric materials with sintering temperature Tsint <900? are required. In this study, the various types of the ceramic filer (TiO2) and glass (BaO-TiO2-SiO2-Al2O3) were prepared for low temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) dielectric materials for high frequency using a glass-ceramic. The glass and compositions of glass/ceramic were sintered under 900? with the different particle size of glass and types of the ceramic filers. Theglass and glass/ceramic composites were evaluated for sintering behavior such as shrinkage, densities, thermal properties and microstructures. As a result, the dielectric properties, ?15~25 for εr, ~2000 GHz for Q*f0, were determined by a network analyzer at high frequency (8~9 GHz). The results suggest that using crystallized glass would be potentially possible to application of low temperature co-fired ceramic dielectric materials in the communication field.
