A New Method of Decoding Very Low Rate Convolutional Codes

In this paper, the correlation properties of very low rate convolutional codewords is exploited, and based on this correlation properties of the codewords and copy feature of Walsh functions, a new decoding method is proposed. In terms of the computer simulations, the performance of this new method is investigated comparing to conventional methods. The simulations results shows the very little difference between the new method and original method is very simple than original method and very appropriate in ASIC implementations.
