초록
In this paper, a simplification technique for spatial view which consists of spatial objects with one to many mapping cardinality is proposed. The proposed technique contains two special data structure:(1)the Relationship-Information-Table(RIT) and (2) the Variable-Backward-Link-Field(VBLF)RIT is used for managing the information of the non-spatial tables which are referenced by a spatial object and exist in different layers. The VBLF is used for managing the multiple-reference-links whichconnect a spatial object to a non-spatial object. Based on these data structure, a new simplification algorithm is also suggested. As a result, the performace improvement, fast join quert processing and less temporary table usage, over simply traverse the VBLF without join operation is achieved. With the help of simplification technique the total processing time of user query can be performed in a linear time, although the increase of tables which participate on the join operation. Therefore, the proposed method can give a much contribution in support of spatial analysispaalications since these applications use the multiple tables for spatial analysis.
