Langerhans cell histiocytosis is a disorder of unknown etiology that gives rise to clonal expansion of Langerhans-like cells or their precursors. We experienced a case of Langerhans cell histiocytosis in left femoral neck of 3-year-old boy. A CT showed an osteolytic lesion with bony destruction in left femoral neck. Cytologically, The smears showed a moderate number of eosinophils, histiocyte-like cells and a few multinucleated giant cells. The histiocyte like cells showed prominent nuclear groove and abundant cytoplasm. Histologic confirmation was done.
