Vibration Control of a MR Seat Damper for Commercial Vehicles

This paper presents a vibration control of a seat suspension featuring a MR damper. The field-dependent damping forces are evaluated with respect to the intensity of the magnetic field, a control model is constructed. A sliding mode controller is designed and implemented in order to evaluate the vibration control performance.
