Measurement of differential factors for characterizing difficulty level of fingerprint databases

This paper presents a measurement of differential factors for characterizing difficulty level of fingerprint databases. The proposed method analyzes the influences and the measurement of common area and relative deformation between the mated fingerprints. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method explains the factors which influence matching score effectively and is useful for characterizing difficulty level of fingerprint databases.
