ER 및 MR 클러치의 성능비교

초록

This paper presents performance characteristics of ER(electro-rheological) clutch and MR(magneto-rheological) clutch. As a first step, Bingham properties of ER and MR fluids are experimentally distilled as a function of electric field and magnetic field, respectively. For the reasonable comparison between two clutches, a nondimensional model is established by adopting same geometric design parameters. After constructing experimental apparatus, field-dependent torque levels are measured and compared. In addition, transient torque responses to the step inputs are observed to figure out the response speed of the clutches.
