초록

The study described the results of experiment on electrical and physical characteristics, related to soil ionization around the ground electrode when impulse voltages was applied to coaxial circular electrode system, simulated by the ground rod or the horizontally buried ground electrode. The ground resistance was significantly reduced by soil ionization, caused by impulse voltages, in which voltage-current (V-I) curve was appeared as ∞-shape of cross-closed loop. The conventional ground resistance was reduced with increasing the impulse current flowing through ground electrode. While soil ionization was progressed, average progress velocity of soil ionization was increased proportionally as the impulse current increases.
