선박 엔진의 운전조건 파악을 위한 소리신호 해석에 관현 연구
초록
The ship's engine system consists of a variety of mechanical devices, which generate signals containing various information while the ship is operating. In this study, we would like to define a method for determining and predicting driving conditions by collecting sound signals that are easy to acquire among various signals generated during driving, and introduce examples of their application. Therefore, we refine the signal by applying a signal filtering method that can select only the range of sound generated by specific mechanical devices such as engines and generators. To extract the features of the signal over time, we apply a Short time Fourier transform (STFT) method to extract the frequency components for the time domain. By comparing the extracted results with the specifications of the engine mounted on the ship and the frequency characteristics determined by the revolution per minute (RPM), the operation status of the engine can be determined. In addition, for ships with propulsion systems with two engines, a method to determine the operation status of each equipment by analyzing the beat characteristics of the acquired voice signals due to overlapping signals from two similar equipment can also be applied. Therefore, in this study, we will explain the process of analyzing sound signals from the ship's mechanical devices, and introduce how sound signals can be analyzed to determine the operational status of the ship by applying them to actual sound signals.
