Intraoperative touch imprint cytology of pulmonary epithelioid hemangioendothelioma: Report of a case

초록

Pulmonary epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (PEH) is a very rare vascular tumor of low to intermediate grade malignancy. It has been well documented in cytology literatures that typical cases present multiple small pulmonary nodules in young women with clinical features suggesting metastatic tumor rather than lung primary. We present a case of PEH whose cytologic findings assessed by intraoperative touch imprint preparation was misinterpreted as metastatic adenocarcinoma.
