In this study, we investigate the design of a dual-use(civilian-military) multi-copter drone with a maximum take-off weight(MTOW) of less than 25kg using the CLOUDS program. Design optimiz ation platform was carried out to overcome problems caused by empirical factors in the design pro cess of multi-copter. In order to determine the quad-copter optimal design results for Classes A, B, and C, a variety of design combinations were analyzed on the basis of the main component data base. In addition, suitability and restrictions for each class were determined according to the operat ing time and payload. These limitations can be used as a criterion for performance indicators in th e manufacturing process and standardization of dual-use drones.
