ASSESSMENT OF MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF GEOGRID REINFORCING MATERIAL FOR ITS APPLICABILITY

In this paper, geogrid, a good reinforcing material by its unique mechanical properties is tested for application. Three kinds (GG 1, GG 2 and GG 3) of geogrid functioning as reinforcing material were experimented. The manufacturing methods of the three kinds of geogrid are a woven type, woven type and warp knitted type respectvely. After they were manufactured as high strong yarn polyester, they were coated with PVC. Table 1, Fig. 1 and 2 show the physical features of each geogrid.
