  • 최승은

초록

The image of a national victim of foreign currency acquisition for Korean nursing women who have moved to Germany must now be removed. The Korean women's motivation to migrate in this study was not only a sacrifice for the country and their families. For them, their active will to pioneer their lives was the main driving force for migration. Therefore, this study attempts to interpret their identity negotiations through the lives of immigrant women who are now subjectively living in German society, away from the image of passive victims. An in-depth interview was conducted for life-historical narrative research. I met four Korean immigrant women living in Germany and heard their voices. As a research result, aspiration as a future-oriented action; Adapting to German and German culture; Mother tongue and self-identity rooted in Koreans; Subjective agents in various experiences; Social remittances and solidarity of women. They continue to live their lives through identity negotiations, cross borders freely, and live independently as transnational actors.
