초록
This research presents a simulator for desired dual shock wave profiles in a large scale of impact durability testing system. As a first step, a dual shock wave generator system consisting of the velocity generator, three masses and a tunable MR (magneto-rheological) damper is modeled to determine principle parameters those are required in the simulator as inputs. Then, the first and second shock profiles are analyzed to solve the governing equation of motions representing the damping force and the velocity. In this analysis process the mathematical model of large scale MR damper presented by two variables of initial velocity and input current is formulated followed by the construction of the simulator formatted by the graphical user interface (GUI). The effectiveness of the proposed simulator featuring controllable MR damper is demonstrated by presenting the damping force versus the velocity at various input currents.
