Enhanced ethanol gas sensing properties of CuO nanowire sensors by functionalization with Pd

초록

CuO nanowires with a few tens of nanometers in diameter and a few tens of micrometers in length have been fabricated by thermal oxidation of a copper foil. Ethanol gas sensors were fabricated by the functionalization of the nanowires with Pd. It was found that the sensitivities of the ethanol gas sensors were enhanced from 16.7% to 38.9% at 180 C and 29.6% to 58.7% at 250 C by the Pd functionalization.
