Mesoporous manganese oxide electrodeposited using a mixture of surfactants for supercapacitor electrodes
초록
In recent years, transition metal oxide is one of the most promising active materials as an electrode for their large specific surface area and pore volume. Among them, manganese oxides with various oxidation states have been applied on electrode materials for energy storage system because of their environmentally friendly property and high electrochemical activity. In this research, mesoporous manganese oxide was electrochemically fabricated with a mixture of surfactants on the indium-tin-oxide (ITO)-coated glass from an aqueous solution with 10 mM Mn(Ac)2. Electrolyte was prepared by dissolving the mixed surfactants in Mn(NO)2 solution to deposit ordered mesoporous manganese oxide film. After electroplating, heat treatment was conducted to oxidize Mn(OH)2 film. The physicochemical properties of synthesized manganese oxide film are characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The crystallinity and phase of the prepared manganese oxide were also carried out by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and X-ray diffraction (XRD).
