iA-Canvas: a Toolkit for Integrated Control and Supervision Systems

We have designed and implemented a tool kit, iA-Canvas for developing integrated control and supervision systems. iA-Canvas provides tools to construct the customized control environments and graphical user interfaces depending upon different equipments for the system developers. The components of iA-Canvas are Graphic builder, Drawer, Viewer frame and Server system. We have successfully applied this tool kit to customizing the integrated supervision systems to various industrial sites such as a power plant, an international airport, a semiconductor plant, a chemical plant etc. In this paper we describe the design principles and features of the components of iA-canvas and report a case study.
