Analysis of coupling efficiency according to the distance between silicon waveguide and photonic crystal waveguide

초록

Coupling between conventional silicon waveguide and two-dimensional photonic crystal waveguide was analyzed by means of a two-dimensional finite difference time domain method. By changing the distance between silicon waveguide and photonic crystal waveguide, we evaluated the transmittance corresponding to the coupling efficiency between two waveguides. . So, we show that some distance between silicon waveguide and photonic crystal waveguide can be ignored for a high coupling efficiency.
