20세기 초반 타이포그래피의 조형적 특성과 건축적 응용에 관한 연구

초록

In early 20th century, Bauhaus had considered typography as one of fundamentals for visual communication based on the philosophy, "All of art is unified to architecture" and tried to correlate it to architectural plasticity. This study attempts to investigate the relationship between architecture and typography throughout history, to interpret architectural plasticity from the viewpoint of typographic forms, and to constitute an educational program for architectural form-making by using Hangul typography. The argument is focused on the process of making new forms through an interaction of architecture and typography, which has been already experimented by avant-garde artists in early 20th century .
