초록

The purpose of this research is to explore the self-representation of Korean students and adults by using indigenous psychological approaches. A total of 2,000 Korean students and their parents (e.g., elementary students=200, Fathers=200, Mothers=200; junior high students=200, fathers=200, mothers=200; senior high school students=200, mothers=100, fathers=100; undergraduate students=200) responded to an open-ended questionnaire. The questionnaire consisted of three parts. For each part, the participants are told to write three aspects about the target persons (e.g., parents, spouse, relatives, friends, teachers, colleagues, neighbors, foreigners). They are also asked to write about themselves when they are with that person. This study will provide the results of the Korean indigenous self-concept and significant others.
