Effectiveness Analysis of Water Quality Improvement by the Constructed Wetland
초록
The wetland has various functions such as water purification, disaster management, habitat provision, climate change management, and so on. The constructed wetland is created by imitating the functions of natural wetland and has been introduced as a new alternative especially for water quality improvement in the river basin. The effectiveness of water quality improvement by the constructed wetland has proved in the previous studies. However, the study on the prediction of water quality change by the constructed wetland has not been carried out yet. Therefore, water quality change by the constructed wetland is studied, say, the changes of water quality before and after creation of the constructed wetland are analyzed using EFDC model which is a 3-D hydrodynamic and water quality analysis model and QUAL2E model which is a 1-D water quality model according to the constructed wetland creation scenarios. Then, the effectiveness of water quality improvement is analyzed and predicted. So, we expect the study results could be used as basic data for the construction of the artificial wetland.
