Advanced Strategies for Recycling Biomass Waste into High-Performance Supercapacitor Device
초록
In this study, sustainable strategy for recycling heated tobacco waste into a high-performance component for an asymmetric supercapacitor (ASC) is introduced. Aluminum foil derived from tobacco product packaging is employed as a substrate for current collector. Tobacco filters (TFs) are purified and carbonized under nitrogen atmosphere to obtain carbonized TFs(C-TFs) as negative electrode materials. To enhance the electrochemical performance, nickel oxide (NiO) is deposited on the surface of C-TFs to form a NiO@C-TFs composites as positive electrode. The assembled ASC exhibited a specific capacitance of 42.8 F g?1 at a current density of 1 A g?1. These results demonstrate the potential of cycling heated tobacco waste into cost-effective and environmentally friendly electrode materials. -본 연구는 2025년도 산업통상자원부 및 산업기술기획평가원(KEIT) 연구비 지원에 의한 연구임(RS-2022-00156073).
