Study of multi-wavelength optical coupling characteristics between a polymer waveguide and a metal waveguid

초록

Polymer to metal waveguide optical coupling is important to integrate various nano-scale optical components on a polymer based optical printed circuit board application. This study presents simulation results regarding multi-wavelength coupling between a polymer waveguide to a metal waveguide. To simplifying the result, all simulation parameters are locked except the width of the metal waveguide and the simulation length. The narrow metal waveguide shows better coupling efficiency, but the wide metal waveguide shows shorter coupling length. Detailed result will be discussed at the conference site.
