The silicone rubber has better thermal stability than other synthetic organic rubber.[1] The silicone rubbers stand at high temperature without decreasing physical properties.[2] Effect of incorporation of Carbon fiber (CF) and Silicon carbide fiber (SCP) with different type into a high temperature vulcanization silicone rubber (HTV), poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) containing vinyl groups, on its mechanical and thermal degradation properties were explored. The CF and SCP announced good thermal stability.[3-4] The Thermal stability and properties of silicone rubber composites included CF and SCP research with thermogravity analysis (TGA) and oxy-acetylene torch. The two kind of oxy-acetylene torch test method used to investigate the ablation properties and to record the failure time loading the weight. The tensile strength, elongation, and tear strength of silicone rubber test with universal test machine (UTM). The rubber composites form the hard char layer on the surface after oxy-acetylene torch test. There is no remarkably increase the tensile strength adding the CF and SCP. But the failure time increased loading that. The CF and SCP assist to increase the failure time at high temperature condition.
