Major issues of water resources development in Korea

In order to understand the status and management of water resources in Korea, the characteristics of water resources in Korea are introduced. Korea is confronted with the serious problem of water resources from both aspects of water quanty and quality, and the problem shall be accelerated in future if nothing has to be done right now. Major issues related to water problems as well as a history of water resources development are described. Also, its stragegy of water resources development and management in Korea are introduced to resolve and improve the situation from the view points of water quantity and quality.
