The crystallization and microphase separation of blend of poly(methyl methacrylate)-polystyrene diblock copolymer (PMMA-b-PS) and poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) were investigated by using synchrotron small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), optical microscopy (OM). When PMMA-b-PS block copolmer occurs microphase-separation, this structure is observed a lamellar or cylindrical microdomain structure. Blends of PVDF and PMMA-b-PS showed morphological changes in the microdomain structures. When PVDF is added in PMMA-b-PS, this structure changed to a lamellar from a cylindrical structure of PMMA and then a PS cylindrical structure. In case of TcPVDF > TgPS, PMMA, the original phase-separated structures in the melt state was weakly affected by the crystallization of miscible PVDF-PMMA phase. The PVDF crystals in the PMMA confinement environment slightly distorted the cylindrical or lamellar confinement during the crystallization. The lamellar thickness and the distance between two neighboring cylinders increased. When the PMMA-PVDF phase was a matrix, the spherulite of PVDF was well developed, on the other hand, when the PMMA-PVDF phase had a dispersed domain structure, spherulitic structure was not developed.
