Effect of vertical Pre-swirl Stator Vanes on the Propulsion Performance of a 300K Class VLCC

In the present study computational investigations are carried out to look at the effects of the two bladed, pre-swirl, stator vane in simple vertical arrangement, on the propeller-hull interaction of the low speed full ship. In the present work, useful informations are provided about the effectiveness of the two bladed, pre-swirl, stator vane for the improvement of the low sped full ship and may lead to a practical method for designing optimum pre-swirl vanes.
