A system development for a simulation automation based on a human object database

초록

This study aims to develop an automatic simulation system using a human object database. The database includes the three modules of a human object, activity, and behavioral rule. The modules allow the operator to set up the parameters of behavioral rule (architectural types and spatial units) and human object (age, gender, disability, occupation, social role, schedule, and the number of the agent). The input data are transferrable into the simulation system. Accordingly, intelligent human objects are generated automatically. In addition, this study also develops an add-in for a commercial BIM software package. This add-in extracts the boundaries and tags of each room and transforms them into the 3D bounding boxes. In the simulation system, the agents perceive the room tags and boundaries as the spaces assigned to use. In the result, this study confirms the automated behaviors of each family agent are generated by responding to the given schedules. A future study will develop a micro-behavior coordination system responding to the furniture and miscellaneous items.
