A Study on Environmental Design on the basis of the notion of ‘Milieu’ Found in an Analysis of French Literature in 19th Century

A word Milieu has been used since long times ago when it became to be considered as a tool scientific studies. It has always been related to human being. As well as the having a meaning of something ecological for living, there were a lot of trying to find the fundamental meaning of Milieu in early nineteenth century. But nevertheless, it was mentioned frequently as an important issue, almost people didn’t understand why they have to focus this point of view. This study focuses on trying to find the fundamental meaning of Milieu by reading a site carefully from an architectural standpoint. In other words, this study attempts to seek after the urban problems on the process during city development like creating and expanding itself, and to create new urban Milieu.
