초록
To prevent the arc of power relay, the extinguishing capacity of arc is increased by arc moving caused by magnetic field using permanent magnet. It could be pushed arc by applying a Lorentz force in the vertical direction of the magnetic field and current. In this paper, the distribution of magnetic field was simulated using flux. The experiment was carried out in a variety of situations. Using the quadrangle shape of the permanent magnet(NdFe30) given variety to thickness in 1 ~ 5mm at 1mm step. The distance between contacts also given variety to 0.5 ~ 4mm at 0.5mm step. The strength of the magnetic field was increased, using the thicker permanent magnet and calculating farther distance between contacts. The result was explained the strength of the magnetic field on the actual arc in accordance with the thickness of the permanent magnet, the distance of the gap between contacts.
