Effect of WO3 Addition on the Electrical and Magnetic Properties of NiCuZn Ferrite

It is essential to investigate the characteristics of low sinterinng properties with various NiCuZn ferrites for high performance of multilayer chip ferrite. the additives as minor components have a great influence on the characteristics of NiCuZn ferrites. The Purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of WO3 addition on the change of microstructure as a function of sintering time, electrical and magnetic property. As the amount of WO3 addition increased at above 0.2 wt.%, the bulk density of NiCuZn ferrites increased and grain size uniformly increased. At the range of frequecy from 100㎑ to 13㎒, Q-factor increased in proportion to the amount of WO3 addition. And initial permeability increased and Q-factor decreased with the increment of holding time at the same sintering temperature. The electrical resitivity of NiCuZn ferrite increased by addition of WO3. It was found that the properties of NiCuZn ferrite could be improved by the addition of WO3 in actual applications.
