Preparation of Self-doped SWCNT with P3HT-based Block copolymers by Thermal Process
초록
CNTs show high electrical conductivity and thermal stability, of which properties enables them for many applications such as electronics and energies. CNTs generally formed as a bundle, which however should be existed as an individual to show their original properties. In this study, poly(3-hexyl thiophene) (P3HT) based block copolymer with self-doping block segment, poly(neopentyl sufonated styrene) (PNSS) was synthesized by combination of GRIM and ATRP and used to disperse CNTs, especially SWCNT by pi-pi stacking interaction of P3HT and SWCNT. Obtained PNSS coated SWCNT was then heated in-situ to generate sulfonic acid groups by deprotection of the neopentyl groups, which was worked as dopants both into P3HT and SWCNT. We characterized all of these steps and examined their morphologies and conductivities.
