Triboelectric charge-gated devices, in which mechanical actions dynamically modulate electronic properties, are emerging as key components for next-generation electronics. However, the combined effects of triboelectric charging and electrically driven charge injection at the nanoscale remain insufficiently explored. In this work, we investigated the interplay between these two charge injection mechanisms using Kelvin probe force microscopy (KPFM). A Pt-coated AFM tip was scanned across Poly (methyl methacrylate) dielectric films under controlled conditions, where both the contact force and tip bias were independently varied. Surface potentials were measured to distinguish the contributions of triboelectric charging and electrical injection. Our results revealed that triboelectric charging can either enhance or counteract electrical injection, depending on the applied forces and voltages, leading to complex surface potential behaviors. These findings provide important insights into dual charge injection processes and could guide the precise design of triboelectric-based devices for future tribotronic applications.
