Evaluation of the Energy Dissipation Capacity of a Double Split Tee Connection
초록
A double split tee connection, which is a full strength, partially restrained type of connection, provides different behavior characteristics depending on the thickness of the T-stub, the distance of the high-strength bolt gauge, and the number and the tightening force of the high-strength bolts. This double split tee connection can be applied to ordinary moment frames or special moment frames through a combination of beam and column members. In this case, the energy dissipation capacity of a double split tee connection must be evaluated. However, there has hardly been any research in Korea on the evaluation of the energy dissipation capacity according to changes in the geometric shape of a double split tee connection. This study was designed to evaluate the energy dissipation capacity according to the changes in the distance of the T/S bolt gauge and the thickness of the T-stub of the double split tee connection fastened with T/S bolts. Toward this end, three experiments were conducted.
